Ego,
I don’t think I’m insane. I just believe in a little practicality if you will. Not everything must be so delicately emotional. I do not wish to be like them, but I want to assimilate with them. I don’t wish to be a serf to emotion, like a bride to a man double her age, like a pig struck by Perkinsea. Though I said I don’t care for women or men, I do like to be entertained by both on occasion. Maybe you’d come on behalf of me sometime? Anyway moving on please do write to me more often, I do enjoy our chats, but until the next letter, Farewell.
Sincerely your twin flame, Arthur Carlisle
Oh Carlisle,
If you are insane that would make me psychotic. Don’t let miniscule words from vermin cloud your mind. Regarding your so-called “unknown” promiscuity, I have my own private outings, your “slumber” parties are a bit too undignified for my tastes. Maybe you would take part in my affairs, I’d be much more entertained with you holding the ropes. Following them home, dragging it on to the last breath would be an utmost alluring sight. Please do take this with much consideration, and must I remind you for the last time our letters needn’t be so friendly.
Ego.
In the document above, we have letters from the same man. The sender has been identified as Arthur Carlisle and 17 bodies have been found in his crypt below the manor. Ego, we assume is a made up character to make the atrocities Carlisle committed befall on someone else.
We gather this information by translating Ego to its other meaning, the part of the mind that mediates between the conscious and the unconscious and is responsible for a person’s sense of self.
Ego, must have been the reason Carlisle slipped from policeman in 1818. We have 17 bodies but we know the number actually goes beyond 50.
Carlisle was a wealthy count, a musician, and very good looking. His reputation was a friendly, humble man with unquestioned origins. Arthur was the most favorable bachelor. Behind the scenes he had a split personality that murdered many women. We still haven’t uncovered what caused the switch in his personality but it might be related to his father. In 1806 (Arthur was around eight years old) there were rumors, Clyde Carlisle beat his son within an inch of his life. The rumors were of course squashed by Clyde. Whether he cared for his son or not he wouldn’t let anything cloud his reputation among other nobles.
Therefore it is still a mystery to us all, how was Ego created? What really happened to Arthur Carlisle? Is it really worth investigating this murderer? Could there be a chance they are two separate people?
